Kudu Taxidermy Shoulder Mount
67x35x35"
Along with having the best name of any animal (saying “kudu” is an absolute joy, and if you haven’t spent 20 minutes saying it in the shower, you’re missing out), they make for insanely cool mounts. This particular one is a centerpiece that not only ties everything together but stands out as a crowning jewel of any collection. It’s not just an aesthetic choice either. Kudus are just neat animals.
Despite being gigantic, kudus have a jump like no other. They’re excellent jumpers, especially for their size. A kudu can clear fences over 8 feet tall from a standing start, which is wild for such a large animal. Speaking of their size, kudus are pretty quiet, but when alarmed, they make a hoarse barking sound to warn others. Again, another surprising trait given their size. Aside from being talented athletes, each horn is dang near perfect. The male’s horns twist in a symmetrical corkscrew pattern, which makes them one of the most recognizable horns of any antelope. Unlike antlers, kudu horns are permanent. They don’t shed them each year because they’re made of keratin, the same material as human hair and nails. It’s definitely their most defining feature, and it’s not hard to see why.
Important Shipping Info For Oversized Items:
Please Note: Oversized items like this do not qualify for the free shipping discount.
For more information about our shipping policies, please see our shipping page.
Please note: We will do our best to ship via conventional methods, but some mounts are just too big for carriers to handle safely.
Non-Conventional: If we are unable to ship via conventional methods, we recommend a taxidermy-specific carrier called Trophy Transport. Once purchased, we ask that you reach out to them to arrange shipping and payment. After that is done, we will work out the logistics and pickup with them.
We can also work with another carrier of your choice, but for taxidermy, they are generally the best and most affordable option since they do not need to crate the piece which is expensive.
