From the artist: I have always been in awe and inspired by the artwork portraying Medusa, but have longed for more versions of HER story. "Medusa's Lace" is my interpretation in the form of jewelry worn as amulets and talismans. Spiders and their webs also have connotations of being harbingers of death, but without death, life could not exist and it is beautifully cyclical. Deeply inspired by the Art Nouveau period where artists used snakes, bats, spiders in their symbolism, each design in this collection was originally hand carved in wax by myself.

The pendant is about 2.5” x 2” in solid brass. The necklace is about 16” long.
