Waterbuck Taxidermy Shoulder Mount
55 x 21 x 29
As you might have guessed from the name, the waterbuck is found in rivers, lakes, and wetlands. Who would have thought? They rely on water sources more than many other antelope species and rarely stray far from them. They are strong swimmers and will readily enter water to escape danger. Unlike some antelope that avoid deep water, waterbuck are surprisingly comfortable in it. After all, if you spend that much time around a lake, it seems obvious that they would learn to swim.
Contrary to their constant bathing lifestyle, waterbucks have a strong, musky odor that comes from oil produced in their skin. This scent is often so strong that many predators avoid eating them unless they are extremely hungry. Don’t worry, this one doesn’t smell bad.
Important Shipping Info For Oversized Items:
Please Note: Oversized items like this do not qualify for the free shipping discount.
For more information about our shipping policies, please see our shipping page.
Please note: We will do our best to ship via conventional methods, but some mounts are just too big for carriers to handle safely.
Non-Conventional: If we are unable to ship via conventional methods, we recommend a taxidermy-specific carrier called Trophy Transport. Once purchased, we ask that you reach out to them to arrange shipping. After that is done, we will work out the logistics and pickup with them.
We can also work with another carrier of your choice, but for taxidermy, they are generally the best and most affordable option since they do not need to crate the piece which is expensive.
