Zebra Calcite, also known as Raw Phantom Calcite, is a relatively recent addition to the world of calcite. It forms from a blend of calcium carbonate minerals, including black, white, and orange calcite. These unique crystals are created when sand and other "phantom" minerals fill spaces within the calcium carbonate, resulting in the striking "zebra" stripes seen both on and within the crystal. Although calcium carbonates are common minerals, zebra calcite is a rare variation, only found in Mexico in recent years. The stone gets its name from the banding patterns that resemble zebra stripes. It is sometimes confused with Zebra Stone from Western Australia, but the similarities end with the name. We’re thrilled to have these stunning specimens in our collection, and personally, they’re among my Top 3 favorite finds from this year's Tucson show. Each piece here is a standout example of zebra calcite, making it a perfect addition to any mineral collection.
According to Metaphysics: Zebra Calcite is believed to promote cleansing, balance, and positivity, helping to clear chaotic energies from any environment. Known as a balancing stone, it amplifies positive energy and supports confronting fears, dispelling doubt, and soothing uncertainty. Its ability to enhance positive energy is thought to boost self-esteem, confidence, and inner courage, while fostering a sense of interconnectedness and belonging.
Each of these specimens are a unique, one of a kind, crystal. Once the item is sold, we will not be about to acquire an exact replacement. All Paxton Gate specimens are guaranteed to be of the highest quality; sourced from ethical vendors and private collectors around the world.
