
DIY Advanced Rat Taxidermy Workshop: Posing & Costuming
So you’ve learned the basics. Good. You’ve proven yourself. Now let’s give the next one a tiny top hat and some personality.
The Advanced Rat Taxidermy Workshop is exactly what it sounds like: less time on fundamentals, more time on creative posing and character. With over 35 years of experience, your instructor will have your rat pre-skinned and ready when you arrive, giving you more time to build a scene and turn your specimen into something with a story.
We’ll provide a selection of props—miniature furniture, tiny vehicles, and assorted trinkets—but you’re encouraged to bring your own. Doll-sized clothing, personal mementos, craft store finds—whatever vision you’ve been quietly developing since the beginner class.
What you'll work on:Posing and wire armature for dynamic, expressive mountsFacial positioning and expressionCostuming, propping, and building a scene around your specimenFinishing details that make people ask "wait, did you make that?"
Important Details:This is an advanced class.
